July 1, 2026: Surface Rights Board decisions are now posted on CanLLI. The Board is actively working to upload past decisions. If you require a decision that is not yet available, please contact the Board at office@surfacerightsboard.bc.ca.
March 1, 2025: The Surface Rights Board is pleased to present the revised forms, information sheets, and Rules of Practice and Procedure effective March 1, 2025.
October 4, 2024: The Surface Rights Board is pleased to announce and welcome Danyka Wadley as its new Deputy Registrar, effective October 1, 2024. Ms. Wadley replaces the former Deputy Registrar, Kate O’Brien, who has accepted a new opportunity within the provincial government.
August 6, 2024: Board’s 2023/2024 Annual Report released.
June 5, 2024: The Surface Rights Board is dedicated to increasing access to justice for its diverse stakeholders. By revising its Rules and Forms, the Board seeks to increase the accessibility of its documents, and clarify the Board processes, procedures, and expectations. The Board is asking for stakeholder comments and feedback on these proposed revisions.

Please review the Board’s revised DRAFT RULES and share your comments, questions, and or feedback in writing to: office@surfacerightsboard.bc.ca by August 15, 2024.
